LabTools Studio is a free, non-commercial hobby project. It is not a registered business or legal entity.
1. About This Project
LabTools Studio provides free browser-based scientific tools. It is maintained on a best-effort basis with no guaranteed uptime, support, or continuity. By using the site you accept these terms.
2. No Warranty
All tools are provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind. This includes:
- No guarantee that OCR or extracted data results are accurate
- No guarantee of availability or uptime
- No guarantee that cloud-stored data (Data Monitor / Data Logger) will not be lost
- No guarantee that session codes cannot be guessed by a determined party
3. Data Security Limitations
The Data Monitor and Data Logger relay data to a shared cloud database using short numeric session codes. These codes provide only basic obscurity, not real security. You should assume:
- Anyone who knows your session code can access your data
- The API key used to communicate with the database is visible in the page source code
Do not use these tools with sensitive, confidential, proprietary, personal, or regulated data.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use LabTools Studio for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:
- Attempt to enumerate or access other users' session data
- Overload or abuse the cloud backend
- Use the tools in a way that violates applicable laws
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the maintainers of LabTools Studio are not liable for any damages arising from use of the tools, including loss of data, inaccurate results, or unauthorized access to data transmitted through the service.
6. Availability
This is a hobby project with no SLA. The service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
